Clinic Compare Brief · £149 introductory · UK private treatment, independently compared
You are choosing a rehab clinic. You have three tabs open. None of them tell you which one is right for your specific situation.
An independent 72-hour briefing on your best three to five UK private treatment options. No referral fees. No bias. The facts you need to make the call, on one document, written by a named human.
£149 introductory pricing for the first 50 briefs, £195 thereafter. One-off, no subscription, no account. Pay first, complete a 9-question intake, brief in your inbox within 72 hours of your intake submission. Three to five UK clinics compared specifically against your budget, the drinker's clinical picture, your geography and your constraints. Same one-page structure for each, including the admissions-route line — does this clinic use brokers, or take admissions direct — that nobody else publishes.
This page is for the buyer doing the comparing. A partner. A parent. An adult child. An HR Director or in-house counsel handling an employee admission. A family solicitor advising a client. Sometimes the drinker themselves, when they have stopped negotiating with their own situation. The brief works best when the buyer is calm enough to read three to five clinic pages in an evening and make a list. If you are not in that state, the £49 bot at the bottom of this page is the right surface — not this brief.
What you get
A 10–12 page PDF, A4, emailed within 72 hours of your intake submission. Cover, executive summary, "how this brief was made", three to five clinic pages in the same one-page structure, a side-by-side table, and a "what to do with this brief — the next 7 days" closing. Validity-window header on every brief: market data correct as of the date of writing, plain caveat that UK private rehab is a moving market.
Why pay first: I take payment before the intake to ensure I only review committed briefs. If, after reading your intake, I judge this brief is not the right product for your situation, I refund 100% of your payment within one working day, no questions asked.
Sample brief — anonymised
The actual format. Real PDF, opens in your reader. Fictional buyer; clinics described by anonymised descriptors (Cheshire provider, national chain, Scottish specialist, Southern premium). Your bespoke brief names the clinics specifically.

- Directories list everything, ranked by ad spend. Useful if you want to see the market. Useless when you are trying to choose.
- Brokers list whoever is paying them this month. The £1,500–£3,000 referral fee is sitting somewhere in the price you pay; it is not free.
- This brief is a small shortlist, against your specific situation, with the reasoning visible. Independent of every clinic in both directions. The £149 is the only money in the system.
What the brief covers
For each clinic on your shortlist, the same one-page structure:
- What it is. Setting, scale, ownership type — independent, chain, charitable.
- Clinical model. Detox capability. Medication-assisted treatment. Therapeutic model. Dual-diagnosis handling.
- Honest price band. What a 28-day admission actually costs, not the headline. What is included, what is not, common add-ons.
- Admissions route. Direct, broker-routed, or mixed. The verification question to ask the clinic in writing. This is the line nobody else publishes.
- Who it tends to fit. The kind of patient that does well there.
- Who it tends not to fit. Equally important.
- What I'd want to know before booking. Three or four specific questions for the admissions team.
- Source notes. Where the information came from. Published clinical model, CQC inspection, public price disclosures, conversations with former patients (anonymised). No unsourced claims.
Plus a side-by-side comparison table on its own page, and a practical "next 7 days" plan to take the brief into a decision.
What it is not
- It is not legal or medical advice.
- It is not an endorsement of any clinic named.
- It does not call the clinic for you.
- It does not give you a number to ring.
- It does not rank by review scores or name a "best" clinic.
- It gives you the comparison in writing, on one document, in 72 hours.
Refund position
If, after reading your intake, I judge that this brief is not the right product for your situation, you receive a full refund within one working day along with a plain-English note on the better path. The five published refund triggers are on the editorial standards page: acute medical risk requiring hospital stabilisation rather than scheduled private detox; active suicidality or psychosis reported in the intake; the buyer is the drinker themselves and in an acute hot-state; budget and geography mean no defensible UK clinic exists for the situation; or the drinker is stated as resistant and the buyer is attempting to force admission against the drinker's known wishes. There is no fine print. James will not monetise people in chaos.
No expedited tier — same SLA for every buyer
The 72-hour delivery window applies to every buyer at every price point. There is no priority queue, no rush upsell, no same-day bypass. Same-day, rush, or bypass-fee requests — including substantial sums offered to write a brief outside the 72-hour window — are declined and logged. The full policy and the audit mechanic sit on the editorial standards page. The £49 bot session covers immediate operational framing where the situation is time-pressured.
Every refused offer is recorded internally and surfaced — by category and aggregate £ value — in the Annual Transparency Post. The £149 buyer reading this page needs to know that the £1,000 buyer cannot buy James faster. That is the trust signal that justifies the price.
If I miss the 72-hour window
If the 72-hour delivery window is missed for any reason, the £149 is refunded in full that day and the brief still ships at no charge in the next available window. Refund-on-miss is structural, not goodwill. The buyer paid for an SLA the network did not honour and is made whole; the work continues to completion because the buyer's situation has not changed.
Who writes it
James Roberts. Sober since 1 June 2020, following residential treatment in 2020. Author of the six-site network. Ex-headhunter. Openly named, openly indexed. About. The brief is signed by the writer, with a date and a validity window.
How money works
£149 covers the brief. That is the only money in the system. No clinic named in any Clinic Compare Brief pays this network a referral fee, finder's fee, commission, placement fee or sponsored-inclusion fee. Ever. If a clinic is named in the brief it is because it fits the buyer's situation, not because it paid. If a clinic, broker or third party later offers money for inclusion, the offer is declined and recorded.
Every December, partner.guide publishes an Annual Transparency Post — a categorised audit of every commercial offer this network has refused over the previous twelve months: number of offers by source category, aggregate £ value walked away from, and named brokers who approached us. First post: December 2026. The independence claim on this page is what is meant; the Transparency Post is what proves it. If the post is ever quietly skipped, treat it as a breach.
No commission. No ads. No tracking pixels on the brief PDF.
If the firm is the buyer and needs a written reconciliation between disciplinary, regulatory and clinical tracks before authorising treatment, the Confidential Containment Brief sits on partner.guide/employers. £295, application only, 8–12 page PDF, five working days. Same independence rules: no commission, no white-label, no retainer.

The brief is for buyers who already know they want a residential admission and need the shortlist. The bot is for the conversation that comes earlier — what is going on, whether residential is even the right next step, what the family conversation looks like.
